That's right guys & gals...there is less than 100 days to go until the best event of the summer is upon us. Of course we're talking about the 12th running of the original Beer Olympics. And everyone is gearing up for this year's events. As always, you will not want to miss this as it is sure to be even better than last year's Olympics.

At the most recent meeting, there was a motion to replace outdoor bowling with another event. This is being carefully considered by the committee and we will be rendering a decision in the coming weeks. The results of this motion will be updated on the website, so be sure to check out www.olympicsofbeer.com often for updates on this development.

In other news, we have received several emails from anxious participants wondering when registration for this year's event will be open. We will open up the registration on the website at the 50 day mark. Registration will continue all the way up to the day of the event. It's important to know that team space is limited, so be sure to get your team signed up early!

Hey all. I hope you all had a great, sloppy drunken summer.

We here at olympicsofbeer.com received word that a group of seniors from Tampa, FL were going to hold their own version of our Beer Olympics. Naturally, we had to go on location to witness this for ourselves. So we paid them a surprise visit to capture all of their excitement and fun as they try their version of our Beer Olympics. As a result, the first annual Senior Olympics was born.

Check out our now sister site The Senior Olympics to see all of the photos, video, and results from this awesome event. From what we understand, they will be holding their version each year like our Beer Olympics.

The epic Beer Olympics XI was held this past Saturday and was the best to date! There were some new faces and some original ones appearing for this year's competition. Furthermore, the weather was ideal for outdoor drinking and facing off in the events.

The battle was legendary as it always is, but in the end, there can only be one champion. This year, it was the Chumpies who took the title and the coveted Beer Olympics trophy. Their win marks an unprecedented 6th win for the title. They will return next year for Beer Olympics XII to defend their championship. Congratulations to the Chumpies in winning Beer Olympics XI.

The website has been updated with photos and official results from this year's games. Check them out at Beer Olympics. The official video for Beer Olympics XI is currently being worked on. It should be out by the end of the week.

Thanks to everyone for making this year's Beer Olympics the best yet! As we slowly recover and return to reality, we are saddened that it is over. However, it gives us something to look forward to. Beer Olympics XII will be held on Saturday July 31st, 2010. Mark your calendars now and come out to compete in the best summer competition in the area!

If you have not already done so, get to Beer Olympics and register your team! There are still a few team spots left, so get matching team uniforms & get ready for what will be the best Beer Olympics yet! Also make sure to read over the Events page so you know what to expect when you show up.

Well, here we are with only 30 days to go until the epic Beer Olympics XI is held. The team registrations have begun and we're expecting many more over the course of the month. So make sure you get your team signed up!

As mentioned previously, foosball will no longer be included in this year's Beer Olympics. The committee has convened and decided to replace foosball with another event. What is it? That will be announced in the next 10 days on the website, so make sure you visit Beer Olympics to be the first to know.

In other news, the Beer Olympic committee has convened this past weekend at the quarterly conference to discuss the upcoming event. It has been determined that foosball will not be an event for Beer Olympics XI. This is primarily due to the lack of tables to run multiple teams. Since there will be more teams this summer than last, foosball will be eliminated. It has yet to be determined if there will be another event to replace it. The decision will be made next month, approximately 2 weeks before the event. Check the home page for updates.
