Events
Beer Olympics is an all day competition consisting of 4 events. All events are double elimination unless otherwise noted. The events are as follows:
- Wiffle Ball
- Horseshoes
- Beer Pong
- Darts
Wiffle Ball
Games are 4 innings. Teams switch on 2 outs. Outs occur on strikeouts, caught fly balls, or fielded ground balls (before the ball stops rolling). Hits occur if the ball lands before the pitcher's line and rolls to a stop or is not fielded cleanly. A hit can also occur if the ball lands past the pitcher's line. Home runs count as a run (duh!!). A chair will be used as a strike zone for pitchers.
Horseshoes
Standard horseshoes rules apply. Games will be to 21 (must win by 2). Trash talking is encouraged. Horseshoes may be double elimination based on the number of teams participating. Ringers are awarded 3 points. Leaners and closest shoe within shoe distance of the pole will be awarded 1 point. Ringers which are topped are a wash.
Beer Pong
Most of us are familiar with the basics of beer pong. Each team starts out with {To Be Determined number} cups, each filled about 1/4 full of beer. Each teammate will throw 1 ping pong ball across the table at the opponents' cups. Bouncing the ball is permitted or a straight throw without bouncing is also allowed. After 2 bounces, the opposing team may attempt to swat the ball away. If a ball lands in an opponent's cup, an opposing player will remove the cup from the table and finish the beer in the cup. After 6 cups are left, 1 triangle will be made. Rearranging the cups after each successful shot will occur. If a team makes 2 consecutive shots, the balls will be returned to their side to shoot again.
Darts
{To Be Determined game} will be played for this competition. The number of teams participating will determine the amount of teams playing per board. Players alternate turns for throwing.
